It makes me very angry at times. All we can do for the tenants is the law - we can get the property fixed and compensation for them. What the tenants really want - to be approached properly as worthy of respect and decent treatment - that we can’t litigate for.

@LQHomesMatter can’t even properly apologise here. They are sorry that ‘their service fell short’. No apology to the resident for what they have done to him. This is standard for HAs (& councils). No sense at all of what they have done and what their tenants most want from them.

And you know what is really tragic? So many of my tenant clients say that the main thing they want is for an acknowledgment of how badly they’ve been treated. They won’t get it. I tell them to think of the damages as the closest they’ll get.

This ‘oh we are sorry for this isolated case where we got things wrong’ line just really doesn’t work. Even less so now that multiple cases are getting media exposure. It will take them months to address issues even after lawyers are involved.

Hey @LewishamCouncil - why is your in-house parking system still SO bad? For weeks I have been paying for visitor parking in advance the night before without issue, now it is pulling this crap. Ringo was infinitely better - the in-house system was - and is - terrible. 🙄
